There’s only one chance at an opening. We want to make it count. We want it to be memorable. We want to make it conversational. We want it to be sharable. We want people to tell their friends about it. The question is – does it? Is your opening, well… eye opening.
How do you get people to read tweets? Or Facebook posts? Or blog posts? Sometimes it’s so frustrating. We post what we think is worthy and very few people share it.
Look at any blog post. What’s the first thing you notice? It’s the title, right? Think of the title as a headline for a news article. Or for a page selling a product.
A blog post is a blog is a blog post, right. Well it depends. It depends on if you want people to read it or not. I suspect you do. So, are you writing effective blog posts – ones that get read?
Consistency is a trait we all share. We want to be consistent with our decisions. When we make a decision making a commitment to do something. We act in accordance with that commitment. This is true for good decisions – those we perceive to work well. They have outcomes we are pleased with.
