God has a goals for us; among them being…
- Become conformed to the image of Christ
- Be His witness
We have an intimate relationship with God… we live through Christ who died and was resurrected to reconcile us to God.
We love each other just a Christ loves us
We are humble… we are servants… Chris Tomlin’s song “We Fall Down” says to lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus… humility requires us to separate from our worldly desires
We are part of the Kingdom of God… we shall establish it here on earth
We are disciples… we give our life to Christ and His will
We conduct ourselves in accordance with Gods precepts… people notice our actions more so than our words
Planning is good…

- Identifies potential challenges and obstacles
- Identifies resource requirements – people and money
- Identifies requisite skills
- Establishes a definition for success.

God has a plan for creation. He has a plan for us.
However, God has an advantage where we have a limitation.
God’s plans do, without doubt, come to fruition.
We can’t make this same guarantee.
We can plan, but conditions can change which prevent us reaching our goal.
We can plan and execute, but our assumptions may have been off.
We can plan and execute, but not be totally committed to the plan – doubt creeps in and we are less diligent.
Fortunately, God provides us the means to give us the best opportunities to succeed.

If our plans are part of God’s plan we have success.
God wants us to listen for Him and to Him. He wants us to follow what He tells us. We receive God’s love when we accept what He tells us and act on it.
God created us and, therefore, knows what is best for us.
The Bible tells us that God will guide us along the best pathway for our life. He will advise us and watch over us. Psalm 32:8.
We must include God in our plans. Read James 4:13-16 and fill in the blanks .

When our plan is focused on God’s master plan we are in harmony with God. God can then use our actions for His good purpose. God can then ensure His view of our success.
Now how do we include God in our plans and activities. We rely on His mercy and grace and use His process for reaching out to Him.
Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him]. For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. Hebrews 4:14-16 (AMP)
So here is how we can take part in God’s means of grace. God’s grace is what provides us access to His blessings. In addition, through faith, God’s grace sustains us in our daily actions. Because He loves us, He gave us His Son.
We have access to God through Jesus. The way we access God is to believe in the Son, diligently read and comprehend His Word and fervently and expectantly pray. The Holy Spirit will tell us all things. Jesus knows what we’re going through. He experienced it during His incarnation.
We have free and unhindered access to God. God comforts when we are down. God is there for us when we need Him. God wants us to seek Him. He wants an intimate relationship. We receive His love in the form of His grace and mercy.
God will not allow us to get into things which are beyond our ability. He always provides an avenue to reach the goal He has for us. “God is faithful.” He keeps promises – always. Therefore, we can plan according to God’s will. ”¨1 Corinthians 10:13
