Our Relationship – Our Oneness is Energy

Modified On: 2 October 2019 · · · Published On: 22 November 2014 Category: Christian Life Topics: Opportunity, Relationship

oneness with god and each other

We are not here to debate the validity of different denominations but to focus on a common thread.

We are to live by in Christ through the Holy Spirit.

In light of all this, here’s what I want you to do. While I’m (Paul) locked up here, a prisoner for the Master, I want you to get out there and walk – better yet, run! – on the road God called you to travel. I don’t want any of you sitting around on your hands. I don’t want anyone strolling off, down some path that goes nowhere.

Paul wants us to keep our eye, our thoughts on Jesus. This is what Paul was doing. Even thought he was in prison, He continued in the faith writing letters to the churches he planted.

As we work in our ministries we stay focused on Jesus. Fortunately, the Holy Spirit councils us in what we are to do.

Every post we write, every discussion we have, every touch we give provides us opportunity to magnify the Lord. Easy to say, but not easy to do. It”s a challenge because every step we take requires our attention on Jesus. When we loose sight of Him, it is so easy to deviate from our mission.

And mark that you do this with humility and discipline – not in fits and starts, but steadily, pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love, alert at noticing differences and quick at mending fences.

We may tire or we may become discouraged but we march on with Jesus at our side. This takes total reliance on the Holy Spirit.

We may say that we don’t want to write the next post. We may want to procrastinate. But the Spirit will encourage us to keep going.

You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly.

No matter our background, all Christians have one path. We are to humbly witness for Jesus. To humbly show people the power of the Gospel. We have to keep in mind that Jesus died for everyone.

You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all.

Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness.

God, Jesus and the Spirit are in accord. The message is clear. God has given us the direction that provides us the best way of living. We stay in a one-to-one relationship with the Godhead. We magnify them. We talk about them. We praise them. We treat people in a manner that recognizes they are made in the image of God.

All in oneness with the Godhead and in oneness with each other.

ӬThis post is motivated by Ephesians 4:1-6 from the Message Bible.
